Hello!
I'm Masumi.
Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Canine Fitness Specialist.
My journey to become a dog trainer began after my dog reacted negatively toward other dogs following an incident of a dog attack. We tried several trainers but did not find success. Then, we discovered DOGSmart, which was our last hope. We appreciated how they handle the issues, and I deeply connected with Alice Fisher’s methods. I then apprenticed under her for two years, developing my ethics and knowledge through her guidance and mentorship.
Since 2014, when I successfully certified with the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, I have focused on building a strong human-dog bond through positive reinforcement training, using patient, consistent, and supportive techniques.
By the way, what is training? In my view, training is essentially “teaching." We help our dogs adapt to living in a human environment, which is an entirely new experience for them. My role is to provide you with the tools to become outstanding teachers. I am here for you!

Eligibility
* Puppies 8 weeks - 18 weeks at the start of this class.
* No fearful dogs.
* No aggressive dogs towards dogs or people.
* If you have fearful/aggressive dogs, please get in touch with the Lucky Tail to book a consultation.
* No shock, choke, or prong collars & retractable leashes.
Requirements: All vaccines up to date, 1st round of vaccines is required, 2nd round is optional depending on you & your vet’s comfort.

SOCIALIZATION
At public dog parks, some issue arise almost every day.
In such environments, it is risky for puppies to learn socialization from other dogs because you never know what kind of underlying issues other dogs may have.
However, if you overprotect your puppy by not exposing them to the outside world, you will likely face many challenges later in life.
It is very important for puppies to learn about other dogs, their personalities and their body language while they are still young.
At Lucky Tail's daycare, we create an environment where puppies can safely learn social skills through observation, experiment and play, all under the supervision of our Fear-Free certified Doggy Daycare attendants.
We recommend letting your puppy socialize by playing with older dogs who have passed the Lucky Tail daycare test, it is a fantastic opportunity for them to learn and also become desensitized to other dogs of various ages, breeds and sizes.
We offer playdates starting from $10 per hour, so why not gradually let your beloved puppy gain some social experience?
