Pricing
All prices are estimates, prices will be based on the condition of your pet’s coat, temperament, weight, style (long vs short cuts), and breed. The actual cost of the groom will be determined at the end of your first visit. These prices are based on a 6 - 8 week grooming schedule.
Cancellation Policy
If for any reason you may need to cancel your appointment, please call 778-532-5721 24 hours prior to your appointment. Late cancellations will result in a $30 + GST no-show charge, which must be paid in order to book a future grooming appointment with us.
Store Policy
Please be aware that if you are over 30 minutes late for your dog's scheduled pickup time post groom you will be charged a late pickup fee. We advise that all customers book their grooming appointments 2 weeks in advance of their desired date for optimum booking opportunities. In the best interest of others, we reserve the right to refuse service for any reason. By booking services online you are agreeing to the Terms of Agreement for our grooming services.
We encourage our clients to give us feedback and maintain a line of open communication on how we can serve you better.
We are not set to deal with dogs with parasites. Please visit a veterinarian for treatment options. We recommend to clean your dogs bedding and living area. If your dog has fleas, ticks, or lice, they can spread or be contagious.
For the well being of other dogs, please do not bring an infected dog to the grooming salon or daycare.

We understand anxiety, even when it seems like there’s nothing causing it, we know pets can be anxious and stressed, for what sometimes seems like no reason at all. And we want to help.
Here at Lucky Tail, we will go above and beyond for you and your pet, to make sure that you and your furry friend are comfortable and satisfied with our grooming services.
If you mention to us during booking that your dog is generally quite anxious, struggles with feeling comfortable in a professional grooming environment, or if this is your pet’s first time visiting a groomer and you are concerned about their anxiety, that’s no problem! Of course, we are going to proceed with our usual fear-free approach, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your pet feels as calm and comfortable as possible throughout the grooming process, but if anxiety is something they are already struggling with, it may be a good idea to prepare them further so that their experience doesn’t cause any additional anxiety.
When booking grooming appointments for anxious or reactive dogs, we recommend a gradual process to ease them into the grooming environment, to ensure their comfort and the safety of them and members of staff.
Firstly, we recommend getting to know Lucky Tail! It’s simple: just drop by a few times as part of your walking routine, come in, say “Hi!” and get some FREE treats for your dog to create a positive association with the grooming environment before your appointment.
We also recommend booking a short service before committing to a lengthy grooming service such as a Full haircut or Bath & Tidy service, to better introduce them to their groomer, and the professional grooming environment, we suggest booking something quick and simple, such as a Nail Trim, Ear Cleaning or Sanitary Trim.
Then, provided your dog isn’t too stressed out or fearful, we can go ahead with booking their Full Groom or Bath & Tidy service, AND for added comfort and security, we will ensure that every time you visit Lucky Tail for a grooming service, your pet will be booked in with the same groomer, to give them the opportunity to build a bond and trust with their groomer and the grooming process!

If your dog is reactive, or you’re worried that might be, they are more than welcome to come in for our services.
As there is a lot of information to process when it comes to reactive dogs, we prefer to book their appointments over the phone, making it easier for everyone involved. So please call 778.532.5721 to book your reactive dog’s grooming appointment.
For reactive dogs, we approach the groom the same as any other, with a fear-free and friendly approach in order to minimize your dog’s stress levels as much as possible during the groom, as stress and fear are the main causes of reactivity. We can accommodate your pup by scheduling their groom staggered from the other dogs, privacy screens to keep other dogs out of their site during their bath, and provide them a private room for the rest of their service. This way, your dog will be kept out of the way of any other pets, for their own safety and the safety of everyone else on the premises. The private grooming room is an additional charge of $30 on top of the regular grooming service.
We also recommend asking your vet for an anxiety and stress relief medication, if you feel comfortable doing so, as the more comfortable and relaxed your pet is, the easier the grooming process will be for them. We also offer our MCT Oil from Furbabies for natural anxiety support. See above for more details.
Long story short, all dogs are welcome here at Lucky Tail, please make sure you disclose your dog’s personality type and any incidents they were involved in while booking for full transparency, as we will do everything we can to accommodate you both.

Grooming Agreement
Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information: By signing this contract, owner verifies their pet(s) are current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccinations, and that their dog(s) is healthy to the owner’s knowledge.
Aggressive or Dangerous Pets: Owners MUST inform LUCKY TAIL if your pet(s) bite, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and the groomer. LUCKY TAIL reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process, and charge a handling fee for Aggressive Dogs in addition to the regular grooming charge.
Health, Medical Problems & Senior Pets: Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior or ill pet. Grooming can also expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because these pets have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort. In the best interest of your pet this contract/agreement will give LUCKY TAIL permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary.
Client assumes all liabilities, financial and otherwise, for the behavior and health of their pet. The groomer will be held harmless from damages, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing condition of the pet.
Matt Removal: Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. There is an extra charge for any necessary de-matting.
Shave downs or custom cuts that are outside normal specific breed haircuts will be discussed and the groomer will perform the cuts to the best of their understanding of the client's directions and their ability but no other guarantee is made.
Accidents: There is always the possibility that an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible injuries could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. Every effort will be made to insure your pet is groomed as safely as possible.
Parasites: If fleas or ticks are found during the grooming process, your pet will receive a flea bath, depending on the severity of the situation, to kill the parasites and an extra charge will be applied. Ticks found will be removed and an additional charge may be applied.
I, the undersigned, have read, understand and agree to the above terms for the grooming of my pet at LUCKY TAIL
